mnoGoSearch, the formerly popular UdmSearch, is a full-featured Web search engine software used for both intranet and Internet servers. This software is used to build search engines over HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and NTTP servers, as well as local files and databases with big text fields.

mnoGoSearch supports a wide range of databases like, Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, InterBase/Firebird, Openlink Virtuoso, Intersystems Caché, iODBC, EasySoft ODBC, and unixODBC database backend. It has built-in support for XML, HTML, and TEXT and external converters support for other document types.

mnoGoSearch also contains an automatic language/charset guesser - more than 70 language/charset combinations are included, along with basic authorization support. Password-protected intranet HTTP servers can also be indexed with proxy authorization support.

mnoGoSearch has a number of unique features, which makes it appropriate for a wide range of applications for making a search (site specific or powered with a search engine). It also allows creating ftp archive search, MP3 search, news articles search or even national-wide portal search engine.

This search software is divided into two parts - the first is an indexing mechanism (indexer) for walking through HTTP, FTP, NEWS servers or local files, collecting the documents and storing words meta-data about those documents in a database. After that the document is used in the search process. Search is performed via Web interface using any web browser.
