Centericq
Centericq is a text mode menu- and window-driven Instant Messaging interface that allows to send, receive, and forward messages. It also allows sending URLs and SMSes through both ICQ server and e-mail gateways supported by Mirabilis. The software supports the ICQ2000, Yahoo!, AIM, IRC, MSN, Gadu-Gadu, and Jabber protocols.
Centericq helps users set their own and fetch others' away messages, and define external handlers for incoming events. There are some other tasks that can be done in mass mode with Centericq. These are –
· Message-send
· Search for users (including the extended "white pages search")
· View users' details
· Maintain contact list directly from the program (including non-ICQ contacts)
· View the message history
· Register a new UIN and update details
· Acknowledgement of email messages
· Automatically set away after the defined period of inactivity (on any console)
· Ignore, visible, and invisible lists.
Centericq can also associate events with sounds, make log of events, has support for Hebrew and Arabic languages, and allows arrangement of contacts into groups.
The system is provided with an internal RSS reader and a LiveJournal client.
Centericq works perfectly with various operating systems, such as, Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Solaris, Windows and Mac OS X/Darwin Operating Systems.
Centericq has been written and is being developed continuously by Konstantin Klyagin. The software is licensed under the terms of the GNU General Public License.
