Gbonds
Gbonds is a saving bond inventory program for the GNOME desktop environment. The software assists the person to keep a record of the current redemption value and performance of the bonds, specially the U.S. Savings Bonds. In addition to this, it also helps one to keep track of the entire valuable bonds that the person owns at a time.
Gbonds is free software and can be implanted on computer with minimum of inconvenience. This free software is distributed under the terms of GNU General Public License. Gbonds, however, have several other features which make it very useful program. Gbonds efficiently tracks savings notes and series E, EE and I Savings Bonds. Using the U.S. Treasury Department redemption files without modification, the Gbonds also imports inventories created with Savings Bond Wizard.
The other features of Gbonds are to track the current value of both individual bonds and print innumerable inventories. This is important because it keeps a permanent record of the bonds in a separate location which helps during any type of replacement. In addition to all these features, Gbonds also updates recent-files module from libegg and do extra checking on redemption data as it gets downloaded.
Gbonds is similar in functionality to the Savings Bond Wizard for Windows distributed by the U.S. Treasury. The working of Gbonds is interesting. Firstly, Gbonds create a main window, and then open the menu bars and then it edits with tool bars and ultimately creates an inventory worksheet
