Kapital
Kapital is the open source personal finance manager package for KDE and Linux. The system requirement to use Kapital is Linux with Xfree86 and KDE version 3.0.x or higher versions.
Entering and clearing various types of transactions, e.g., checks, deposits, ATM, EFT are all supported by the Check Register of Kapital. The Calendar feature provides the user with the facility to set up schedule payments used in conjunction with a ‘Bill Tracker’ alarms. This alerts the user for the due bills.
Check and Report Printing facilities in Kapital include graphics and logos. Kapital also provides online reporting along with charts and graphs through its basic and advanced searching capabilities. The predefined categories for transactions in Kapital include sub-categories and the user can create or delete categories from here. New Account Wizard contains various budget scenarios and the Export/ Import feature supports Quicken QIF file format.
With the Budget Tracker feature, Kapital user can set up his/ her budget on various items and if the user exceeds the budget for the specific time period he/ she will get an alarm notice. Here the user can also make charts, graphs and reports to analyze his/ her position in the specified time period for the budget.
Kapital provides the facility for the user to use a web page to design their checks. The Check Designer field of Kapital does this job. The online facility of Kapital provides the users to pay their bills and to send money between various types of accounts. Apart from these, other facilities like checking account, savings account, stock, investment, retirement etc. are maintained through Kapital.
