Custom is the open source E-commerce system written in Python and SQL. Custom works in web environment and OS Independence and Linux operating systems. Custom is released and distributed under the Python Software Foundation License.

Custom needs the support of some software and components. They are Python 2.1 or higher versions, MySQL client, Python MySQL database, mx.DateTime, PyCrypto 1.9 or higher versions and MySQL Server. Though Apache is recommended the user needs a web server that can run CGI-bin scripts. A simple one-time configuration is required for Custom to implement the HTML front end of the users by a Python-aware webmaster/ developer.

The website front-end of Custom is simple and customer friendly compared to many other e-commerce websites. The Back Office program of Custom provides the real time batch processing of Orders, Invoices, Printing and E-Commerce credit card verification. Custom provides the Database classes, supported by MySQL and MS-SQL 2000, which are independent to the SQL Database of the user.
