Essential Budget
Essential Budget is the cross platform open source personal finance manager, written in JAVA using Essential Data, RCPLite, and SWT. The software was developed aiming to replace cross-platform tools like Quicken.
Essential Budget is compatible with most of the operating systems like Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, NT and XP, OS Independent, BSD, Linux and Unix. Win 32 and Window System (X11) are the user interfaces required for Essential Budget.
Essential Budget provides efficient support to the user to create and track the budget against the actual expenses.
The user can use Essential Budget to implement mature budgeting support. The cross-platform feature of the Essential Budget is supported by Java and Eclipse’s SWT.
Essential Budget can categorize the ways user earn and spend money. Moreover, it creates budget categorically for the user that projects how much money the user can expect to earn or spend. The user can assign more than one budget categories. Essential Budget can compute and track the amount of money that was spent or earned in a budget category, compared to the budgeted expectation on monthly/ yearly basis. This process is done automatically by the Essential Budget software.
