JStock

JStock is the open source tool written in Java that is used for technical analysis of stocks. JStock is released under the modified BSD license. All the user drawn designs and notes are stored in an optional database in the JStock and a postgreSQL user can feel comfortable with the JStock.sql. The basic functions of JStock works without any support of database and the data-files can be accessed straight from the Internet.

All the major technical analysis tools are supported by JStock. The software can display daily and weekly logarithmic charts, which are commonly known as candlesticks charts, based on the daily high, low and close.

JStock draws volume, trendlines, RSI graph and MACD indicators. JStock supports auto scaling and provides a window for writing notes. It can support files which are downloaded from Yahoo and Netfonds. This stock analysis tool provides auto loading of stocks on the watch list. JStock provides the facility of drawing moving average (MA and EMA) indicators.

To maximize the area for the logarithmic charts and minimize the user interaction for daily use, JStock provides some important deign parameters. The forthcoming features of JStock are also very interesting. Along with the option of update documentation, JStock will provide generation of positive or negative signals with the help of a database and will store all stock data in the database.
