Grisbi
Grisbi is the open source, simple and intuitive, personal accounting software, which is written in the programming language C and produced by Grisbi team under the GNU General Public License (GPL).
Grisbi is compatible with most of the operating systems like MS Windows, Unix, Linux and BSD. This functional personal financial management program is loaded with a number of features.
Grisbi manages multiple accounts, currencies and users. It is adapted for personal use and for associates. The Grisbi Software efficiently manages expenditure and receipt categories, budgetary lines, financial years, third party and some other information.
The other important features of Grisbi include checking cash and liabilities accounts supported by several accounts with contra entries with currencies including euro. Grisbi provides arbitrary currency for every operation and facilitates switch to euro account per account. Grisbi also supports the financial operations like transfer between accounts and even for accounts of different currencies. The software provides bank reconciliation, scheduled transactions monitor expiries with Gnome Applet.
Grisbi can maintain description of the transactions with third parties, categories, sub-categories, financial year, breakdown and notes efficiently. Along with QIF export/ import and user manual, Grisbi offers a nice and easy interface. Though the version of Grisbi 0.4 is available in French, the new version of the software is developed for the international buyers.
