PHP – Residence is an open source program with web interface, developed to manage the weekly or daily rental of house apartments, residence and hotel rooms. The PHP – Residence software is written in PHP and SQL. PostgreSQL and MySQL databases are the backend databases, which support the PHP – Residence to run. With PHP-Residence, reservations can be assigned to an apartment automatically with user-defined rules. PHP – Residence is released under GNU GPL license (free and modifiable).

PHP – Residence can automatically assign reservations. By this facility, one can insert a reservation giving to it a list of apartments, rather than a fixed one. Then PHP – Residence will assign an apartment to the reservation from the list considering the characteristics of the apartments and maximizing the availability. At the moment of inserting the reservation through the PHP – Residence software, one can choose from the list of apartments directly, specifying the numbers or the characteristics. Even, the agencies can use the PHP – Residence software to reserve an apartment for a period.

PHP – Residence supports the possibility to add weekly/daily extra costs to the rates. Extra costs are added to the base rate and can be used for various purposes. For example, calculation and management of expenses for room cleaning, or for adding beds.

Other important features of the PHP – Residence software are - Visualization of contacts with inserted data for printing, Creation of templates to check availability from an Internet site. The PHP – Residence has the facility to backup all the data on a single text file and supports multi-user with privileges system.

The PHP – Residence can be used directly from the Internet by subscribing to the hosting service. Otherwise a Web Server with PHP support and a PostgreSQL or MySQL database is needed. PHP – Residence is available in English, Italian and Spanish.
