Metadot

Metadot is an easy to use open source portal system. It allows everybody to build websites – even a non-technical person can create a powerful website and portal just with a few mouse clicks with Metadot. The architecture of this software makes it extremely easy to customize and deploy. Metadot provides collaboration, content management, My News Page and online database applications. Metadot is typically used to create web portals, intranets, extranets, and organization and project websites.

Metadot is a free software, available under the terms of GNU General Public License. Though it runs primarily on LAMP software stacks i.e. Linux, Apache, MySQL and Perl it supports Sun Solaris, Windows OSes and Oracle database. On Windows Metadot uses same software stack – IIS is not required. Additionally Metadot uses mod_perl for blazing fast speed. To install Metadot on your server you need to have root or administrator access.
