TCL

TCL or Tool Command Language is a very good tool for the users of Windows, Mac and Unix platforms because it provides the users a scripting environment. TCL provides supports for TCP/IP network related scripting, string pattern matching and string processing. It also offers access to native file system, timer programming and I/O related to event driven processes.

TCL is very easy to use because the knowledge of the traditional programming languages is applied over here like structure, loops, variables, namespaces, DLLs, structured error handling etc.

TK is a program that is used to provide a graphic user interface for Windows, Mac and Unix system users. TCL/TK can be used for developing any commercial stand-alone or embedded application programs. Nowadays in the industry, the term “integration platform” is becoming more and more important and TCL serves this purpose.
