SQL Ledger is an open source accounting software. For storing data in backend SQL Server is used and data can be displayed in any text or GUI browser. If any sales or purchase operation is performed then accounts is automatically updated by SQL Ledger.

SQL Ledger has a unique feature of assemblies. It helps the users to build manufactured goods from services, parts, assemblies and labor units. If one assembly is sold then another assemblies related with that will be updated automatically.

The operations related to sales are generated by SQL Ledger from templates and can be customized to suit the user needs. To provide this privilege to the users Templates are provided in html, tex and text format. Following are the ways to view a document generated
· It can be sent to any printer to take the print out of the document
· It can be displayed in PDF format
· It can be sent through email

It is available in different languages such as, English, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and many more.

SQL Ledger can run on Windows, Mac OS X or Unix. It uses Oracle, DB2 or PostgreSQL to store data.
